Carbon Farming Med
Carbon Farming Med, a new project funded by the Interreg Euro-MED programme, works towards promoting the entry of the agricultural sector in the Mediterranean region into the carbon credit market. The project, under the coordination of the UVic-UCC’s BETA Technology Centre, will focus on adapting methodologies for measuring, reporting and verifying the amount of CO2 that can be captured and stored in agricultural soils thanks to the application of certain agricultural and agroforestry practices.
EURAF’s role is to contribute with its expertise in agroforestry as well as its network of agroforestry members. Moreover, EURAF’s experts are involved in the activities on ‘Guidelines and Policy recommendations’ and the ‘Development of a good practice guidelines’, among others. Watch this space for more news!
